We painstakingly cut and scrape away 100% of the old silicone, clean the joint with specialised solvents, and apply a fresh, perfect bead of premium anti-fungal sanitary silicone. ### Why Silicone Fails Silicone is typically applied at the internal corners of a shower where the walls meet, and where the wall meets the floor. These areas experience building movement. Over time, standard silicone loses its elasticity, causing it to split or peel away from the tile. Furthermore, if non-sanitary grade silicone was used, it will quickly succumb to black mould, which cannot be cleaned off as it grows into the silicone itself.

### The Importance of Complete Removal A common mistake is applying new silicone directly over old, failing silicone. This never works. The new silicone will not adhere properly and the mould will quickly return. Our process involves the meticulous removal of every trace of the old sealant. We use specialised tools and solvents to ensure the tile surface is completely clean and primed before applying the new seal.
